Why I Don't Watch Spongebob's Current Seasons

Hi Guys! Mz. Cartoon here! I enjoy Spongebob and he was my favorite cartoon character growing up. However, I try to avoid the newer seasons because Spongebob isn't the same anymore. I'm not the only fan who feels this way, and for those who disagree, that's good for you, I think that Spongebob is a great show and has a lot of ratings, it's been going on for many years but ever since the show got new writers it's been slipping. It still has time to turn around, but that's in the writer's hands, and if the show doesn't change soon, I'm sticking with the older seasons. SIDE NOTE: I will be doing conspiracy theories on this blog, so if that's your thing, this is the best place for you.

After the movie, Spongebob started slipping, the writers changed everything about it including Spongebob. But let's go with the other main characters first. Squidward. He wasn't the best at getting along with Spongebob and he never really liked him. But there was always that one time when Squidward surprised the viewers with a plot-twist, I don't know about you, but that was very refreshing to me. We don't get that anymore. Instead, we just get Squidward being a straight dick. Same for Patrick, he's not the best friend who always comforted Spongebob  when he was in need of a pep-talk. Instead of that, we get Patrick being a total jerk to him, that really hurts me. He does stupid stuff on purpose to his friends and doesn'tcare  if he does something wrong. It's different when he doesn't know he's being dumb and when he does it to get attention and the writers make all of the scenes for that episode with Patrick, he is being really inconsiderate of others feelings. In the older seasons, he was never too rude, and when he was, he always took a step back and talked to whoever he had hurt and he genuinely meant it. I was watching an episode recently when Spongebob has a splinter in his finger and Patrick hits his finger with a hammer and covers it in garbage from the dumpster. When Spongebob tells Patrick that this might help, he gets smart, and he says, "If you don't like it, I'll take my services elsewhere." Watch some footage from the older seasons back to back with newer episode footage and you'll see exactly what I mean. If you cry, I feel your pain.

As for Sandy, I know you remember her as the female-empowering character of Spongebob who enjoyed science and knowledge and also doing karate with Spongebob.
